NYC Museums to Visit for Free

NYC Museums to Visit for Free

The other day I decided to start visiting NYC museums. This is something that I usually don’t look for, but since I live in New York City I said to myself “Why not!?”. I’m started my journey with the Whitney Museum located on the west side of Manhattan. Below is a brief list of New York City museums I put together. Some of these have a fee others offer discounts or ‘free days’.

Whitney Museum of America Art

I got to visit this NYC museum by coincidence. I was walking around the area and a group of people called my attention. When I got to the entrance I noticed it was the famous Whitney museum. Located at 99 Gansevoort Street in the popular Meat Packing District on the west side of 14th Street in Manhattan. Their times:

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

This museum is a “Pay what you wish” for New York state residents. If you’re not a resident check out their admissions fees. I visited this museum a couple of times when I was in school. I was mainly ‘forced’ to go. Next time I will go and check the entire museum.
